I am so happy with the results of my botox and filler on my smile lines, chin and forehead. It is only three days on and it looks terrific. (Dr Banthia) was really friendly and checked in with me to see how I was doing with the pain the whole time. This was my first experience with this and it was a great experience. It was not painful to me and the results are amazing. Thank you to all the staff for their friendly manner. Their professional and friendly manner made the experience very easy and enjoyable.

Thank you Reviance for my beautiful lips!
Not too long ago I made the decision to get permalips at Reviance in San Mateo.
It is one of the best things I have ever done for myself!
The procedure did not take very long.
The staff was very helpful and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly.
Dr. Pollard and Dr. Banthia were kind and professional.
I am especially greatful to my personal surgeon Dr. Banthia for the wonderful job he did. He was gentle and exceptionally attentive. It was because of this that I had a truly positive experience.
If you are thinking about getting perma lips I highly recommend this group.
My husband now keeps a picture of my lips on his cellphone as his display.

I have been interviewing and seeing the best plastic surgeons in the bay area for over 15 years for various services including injectables and surgery. I have been going to Reviance for injectables and most recently a mini face lift. Every person (From the front desk to the surgeon) at Reviance has exceeded my expectations. Sophie is a skilled master with injectables. As a recent patient I can speak for Dr. Banthia's skill as a surgeon. His credentials speak for themselves but as a patient I can say he is an amazing Surgeon. I selected the option of local anesthesia and never felt one thing. It was less stressful than being in the dentist chair. Although I had a prescription of pain pills I only took two. One the night of surgery and one the next day. After that I only required Tylenol for two days. The pain was minimal (More of a discomfort than a pain.) One week after surgery I had no bruising and very little swelling. I must mention the professionalism of each and every person including Tevaite, Sandra, and Jen. I was a skeptical "High maintenance" patient and with everyone’s patience and professionalism I have made the very important decision to have surgery on my face and become a very strong advocate of Reviance. They will exceed your expectations.

Before visiting Reviance about a year ago, I checked out several other medi-spas for laser facial and neck treatment. When I walked into the San Mateo office, I immediately knew this would be the one! The facilities are calming and very clean. The staff is very knowledgeable and do not suggest procedures that are drastic or unnecessary (very honest!). Sophia is absolutely amazing! She is indeed very professional and friendly Under her recommendations, my skin has been tranformed into a glowing and younger looking creation. I honestly feel like I've struck gold.

This is also my first Yelp review. I went to Reviance about a month ago and was blown away by the whole experience. I had microdermabrasion with an infusion and botox on my forehead lines and crows feet. Holy Moly, I can't say enough good about the entire time I spent there as well as the results. The office is beautiful. Because I wanted an MD to do the botox, I was expecting more of a "doctor's office" feel. It was not that at all. Calming. My aesthetician was wonderful and my face looked smoother (I'm plagued by acne scars) than I think it has ever looked after a treatment. The botox (my second time) was such a great expereince. Dr. Pollard sat with me for a long time explaining to me how it worked, where exactly he would do it...I don't get that much time from my internist for goodness sake!!!! And the results were heavenly. Honestly not a wrinkle on my face. But he was careful to preserve expression and in no way do I look frozen. And finally, the cost was SO reasonable. As the previous reviewer noted, they charge by the unit, and it was CONSIDERABLY less expensive than the last time I had it done. I am still getting compliments on my skin a month later. I will definitely be going back.

THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! Ask for Sophie; she is meticulous and gentle. The botox is $10 a unit, which is an excellent price, but the practitioners are careful and very well informed. I have been to other places for both fillers and botox, and it is only here that I have had no side effects or abnormal swelling/bruising. I go all the way to San Mateo from Alameda for Sophie!

I've had a number of different services here with several different folks (botox & filler with both Michelle and Dr Chan). Last week Sophie did my injections for the first time. While I was trusting but skeptical of her "master injector" title, Sophie lived up to the title and more. Her work looks very natural and pretty. She took my asymmetrical lips and made them symmetrical, natural, and full. Sophie is gentle, soothing, and relaxed as she works which relaxed me as she stuck my face with a needle multiple times.
I can't close my review without calling out Jen and Tevaite for providing such great service. Tevaite is informative and very friendly, always taking lots of time to explain everything thoroughly. I always feel like I get top notch service from skilled professionals at Reviance.

After much research-mostly on the web-I honestly chose Reviance based on the price-I was almost paying double for botox in San Francisco. It was very easy to get an appointment, not too far from Potrero HIll where I live and they have plenty of parking. I felt very comfortable with Sophia-she is an RN. During our consultation I discussed my likes, dislikes, previous experiences etc and was very open to her suggestions. I was a little nervous seeing a new person but her personality is calming and I really was open to her opinions on what I needed done. She worked within my budget-didn't try to upsell anything crazy and was very professional and friendly. I will probably go back for another injectible-based on her recommendation. They have a great referral program and they also send out frequent newsletters with special promotions and pricing. Not like you should bargain shop for your face but this is a plastic surgeons office-they just probably have a lower overhead than an office in Pac Heights or Union Square.
Very worth the drive-get good directions though so you don't end up on the San Mateo bridge - there's a tricky exit.

3 days ago I went into Reviance for a consultation to have laser tattoo removal done. Nisha did my consultation. She was very informative, answered all my questions and concerns. She put my mind at ease. I ended up having my first procedure that afternoon.
Laser tattoo removal is not pleasant but after the numbing shot it was very bearable. The prices are reasonable. The staff and Dr. Pollard were all very friendly. I'll update again after my second and third procedure :) I would recommend friends & family who are interested in laser tattoo removal to Reviance.

Reviance SJ - My first Yelp review b/c this justifies it. Just got the best botox result I've ever had with Dr. Pollard (5 years into it) and paid much less than what I was paying in Palo Alto for a similar set-up (skilled nurse in high-end plastic surgeon's office). No bruising, soft touch, natural, exactly what I asked for. With nurse KW in PA, I paid by "the area" (always the mystery where all the big $$$$ went every time). Reviance charged me by the "unit" and the Dr. actually worked with me to carefully map out how to get the most from the fewest units. (He literally marked my face with a little grease pen and the results are awesome...he was a perfectionist in a good way.) In the end it was almost half of what i had been paying for my botox in PA, so well worth the extra drive.
I also consulted with Dr. Pollard about future things I could do to rejuvenate my face including surgeries but was impressed that he didn't try to sell me on stuff that I didn't need. And he was super thorough with how he explained things to me. Got a really good gut feel and I've been to several of these guys...super impressed with Dr. Pollard. I'll go back and will recommend to friends, despite a little farther distance. Whole experience was first rate.

... "I have never had a bad experience at this center. The front desk girl is very knowledgable and friendly and there seems to be such a relaxing, yet professional atmosphere among the staff. I have had several different treatments there and have been impressed with all of them. One of my relatives got the face lift from Dr. Chan, and the results are amazing. She was treated like gold from the minute she walked in until her experience was finished. I have been to a few different medspas and found by far, I received the most attention from Reviance. Their warmth and professionalism and their desire to make sure I got the best experience was refreshing. I have gotten facials from Lorena, hair removal from nurse Sandi, and even Botox from Dr. Pollard. From the minute I walked into the door to the minute I left, I felt nurtured. Great service, great results at a great rate.

I recently had a facelift at Reviance. Dr. Pollard performed the
procedure on my face two weeks ago. I am extremely pleased with the
results. The reasons I chose this procedure was because it does not
require general anaesthetic, only takes a little over an hour and the
recovery is quick and painless. I had microdermabrassion before the
surgery and loved it. I will go back for more in the future. Dr.
Pollard was very thorough in explaining the procedure pre-op and
answered all my questions. He is professional, kind and did a terrific
job. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Pollard and the staff at
Reviance to anyone. The facility is new, calming and lovely.

The first time I tried Botox, I was in and out of the office in 20
minutes..3 days later my face was a frozen mask with a hideous owl-like
expression. That was four years ago. I had heard about Reviance from a
coworker and decided to take a leap of faith and try Botox again for my
deep forehead wrinkles and crows feet. What a difference from my first
experience! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and totally
professional. They addressed all of my concerns about my previous
experience at another med-spa. Dr. Pollard took the time to thoroughly
explain the procedure, using a diagram of the facial muscles, before
mapping out his recommendations for my face. His philosophy is to try
and use as little Botox as possible while achieving the best
result.....and the results are fantastic! The smoothness has improved
dramatically..... and my face doesn't have that mask-like feeling that
too much Botox can produce. I am so happy with Reviance and will
definitely be going back.

I am a client of this Center since it was called Sona Medspa and I keep coming there because of RN Sophie. She is a very skillful nurse - I've done a number of different procedures there and I was always happy with the her job. Several friends of mine became clients of the Center mostly because of Sophie - her magic touch, highly professional attitude and experience makes me feel safe and comfortable during all treatments. A great advantage of Sophie is that she also speaks Russian language. I want to thank Sophie for making me feel happier and more beautiful!

Dr. Chan and his professional manner impressed me from the start. His consultation was precise and very informative. I had know idea the results of a neck lift would be so amazing. I found this place on line. I was at first a bit skeptical because their prices are so reasonable. After all the horror stories you hear in regards to Botox if you're still determined to do it you want the best. And they provide the best. I drove an hour to get there and when I walked into the office I immediately felt calmer. It is a very meditative, peaceful, beautifully decorated atmosphere with the water over rocks waterfall and hot or cold beverages at your disposal. I was impressed at how welcoming and friendly the staff was. I felt relaxed. Then I met Dr. Pollard. Wow,( think Nip-Tuck but not Christian the arrogant doctor instead hes the considerate brother)hes very handsome. He was very thorough and extremely intelligent. He told me all the pros and surprisingly the cons too. He wanted to make sure I was doing and getting what I wanted. He even wanted to help me save on the expenses by waiting to see if I still wanted to do more after I saw the results
from my procedures that day. I had my lips done which is usually very painful but not so with Dr. Pollard. The last time I had them done I
drooled for 3 days after but not with Dr. Pollard. He is the best at his profession. His nurses are nothing to shake a stick at either.
They all had at least 7 years of experience as well. They work as a team and he gives them the credit they deserve. He told me he makes
sure to meet all his first time clients and does the work himself. Then upon a second visit provided I feel comfortable he might have one
of his highly skilled nurses do the work. This was a great example of customer service as I also work in an industry where c.s. comes first.
I saw results from the botox the next day, yet wanted to wait a week before writing to say how highly I recommend Reviance.

I highly recommend Dr Vishal Banthia M.D. FACS as a facial plastic
surgeon. I am a 65 year old widower. After I lost a large amount of
weight, I had excess skin on my neck and lower face. I looked much
older than my years. Dr. Banthia performed plastic surgery on my
face, neck and chin. That has made a dramatic improvement in my
appearance. I believe just because you are a senior citizen, there is
no need to look like you need a keeper. So, if you still have romance
on the inside, you owe it to yourself to look as good as possible on
the outside.

Dr. Chan was referred to me by his partner Dr. Banthia. I was
extremely impressed with his work and am very happy with my results.
What impressed me most about Dr. Chan and his partners, was their
drive to provide the best and most current products and procedures.
When I was there, the doctors had a R.N. come in directly from one of
the pharmaceutical companies corporate office and personally educate
and teach them new and innovative techniques. That really impressed me
and made me feel extremely knowing that my doctor was concerned with
safety, technique, product updates and staying continually educated. I
was a pharmaceutical representative myself for years and can tell you
that not all doctors care to keep up with current practices and many
could care less about continuing education. The best part was that Dr.
Chan's office was extremely competitive with their pricing and passed
on to their patients special promotional pricing offered to them.
Finally their staff was kind and supportive. I highly recommend this
group.

Best place for microdermabrassion in San Jose!
Everyone there were friendly. I had a microdermabrassion there and the aesthetician was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. She has 20+ years of experience and clearly knew what she's talking about. Reviance uses DermasSweep technology for the microdermbrassion.
I've tried the traditional crystal microdermabrassion , Vybradermabrassion and Dermasweep by far gives the best result for my skin. The aesthetician did dry micro first on my skin with a brush, then followed with wet micro to infuse my skin with salicylic acid/gylcolic acid ... depending on your skin type.
Highly recommended!.
Nice place. Great location, located across from Westfield Valley Fair. Easy Parking.
I've had vybradermabrassions at Blu Cocoon though i genuinely like the location because it's closer to where I live, I did not have good experience with the aesthetician there. She's always trying to sell me something during the session. I made a complain to the manager after my first visit . Second time, she did it again.. she claimed that my acne was a scar.. and I'll need to get a laser done .. to clear it. I didn't believe her, and i was right .. 2 days later it was gone.

I was not a yelper prior to now however a good experience I had
motivated me to start. I have never undergone or even thought a whole
lot about plastic surgery until a friend referred me to Reviance. My
eyelids have been heavy all my life but as I've aged they have just
gotten worse and I wanted to see what my options were. I decided to
come in for a consultation to find out some information about the
procedures.
I was warmly greeted and introduced to the patient care coordinator
Tevaite. Tevaite was very helpful and she gave me detailed information
about non-surgical procedures and general information about surgical
options. What I liked about her is she is passionate about what
services they offer and seemed to take a genuine interest in helping
me make the right decision for me no matter what I chose. She has
already followed up with me twice this week just to see how I'm
healing!
I then met Dr.Chan. Dr.Chan made me feel comfortable. Again, I have
never considered plastic surgery up until this moment so I didn't know
what to expect. He had a caring demeanor and he told me about his
Stanford education and extensive experience. He had a way about him
that made me feel confidant, not to mention he had several pictures to
show me of patients he has operated on. I also like that the procedure
is done under local anesthetic not general, so it's safer. The thought
of general was more intimidating. YIKES! Dr.Chan was very thorough
when he explained the procedure and told me how I would feel after
surgery.
My own friends and family suggested that I see another physician to
get a second opinion so I did. I just didn't have the same chemistry
with their staff and the vibe was just more positive at Reviance. I
also searched the web and looked at all the recommended questions and
qualifications and Dr.Chan exceeded all of that. So, I went ahead and
booked my surgery date.
I was getting a little nervous the day of surgery because I had done
all this thinking about it and here I was about to undergo this
procedure. I was also exited about the new eye shadows I'll be able to
wear that I couldn't before :) Dr.Chan gave me some meds, I had some
tea, they gave me a blanket and I felt very relaxed. Tevaite also
suggested that I dress comfortable and to wear a zip up sweater to
avoid pulling anything over my head. Dr.Chan then gave me some
injections and talked to me through out the entire process. He would
tell me what he was doing before he did it and distracted me through
conversation. About 30 minutes later I was done! I said good riddance
to baggy eyes and said hello to a more refreshed younger looking me!
My eyes were a little sore but it was totally bearable and even as I
left I had a HUGE smile on my face! I have never done anything like
this for myself and I'm ecstatic that I did!
Here I am 6 days later and the incisions are almost gone completely. I
went to work and I have gotten compliments about how I don't look
tired and my blue eyes stand out more than ever before. Ultimately I
am so happy that I chose Dr.Chan at Reviance and they helped me make
that decision with their knowledgeable, caring, friendly approach. I
would recommend going to Reviance if you are considering not only
surgery but any non surgical alternatives. I also was able to pick up
some great skincare and I have an appointment for a treatment that
will help the rest of my face! And I can't wait to go back!

Reviance's staff and services are awesome! I had a great complimentary consultation with Dr. James Chan. He really took the time to listen to my areas of concern and offer appropriate procedures with realistic outcomes. I chose to have laser hair removal and a pixel laser resurfacing treatment. Michele, RN, completed these procedures for me - she is such a pleasant person and really made me feel comfortable about the procedures (I was a bit anxious!). I felt so comfortable with the staff here - I've since made an appointment for an IPL treatment. Refer your friends and family - you won't be disappointed :)
