What is a Brow Lift?
As we age, our forehead and brow region is one of the first areas to show noticeable wrinkles and frown lines. This may result in a “tired” or “angry” look. And while Botox is an excellent, minimally invasive procedure to halt the signs of aging, San Jose, Palo Alto, Saratoga and Santa Clara brow lift patients have found that a brow lift may ultimately be more effective and long-lasting.
Our surgeons promise nothing but the most natural results, as you can see in our brow lift before and after pictures. So give us a call today if you’d like to learn more about the procedure, brow lift prices, or any other aspect of the surgery.
How is a Brow Lift Performed?
Traditionally, brow lift surgery was performed utilizing a coronal approach in which a long incision was made from ear to ear on top of the head. This type of brow lift has several side effects, including prolonged numbness, loss of hair and a long recovery period.
Today, there are a number of approaches to this surgery. One option is the minimal incision brow lift technique, in which your surgeon will perform an endoscopic brow lift through small incisions in the hairline. Another options is the temporal brow lift, which uses small, hidden incisions inside certain portions of the hairline, leaving you with natural-looking results and minimal scarring. In contrast to the traditional browlift, many of our limited-incision browlift techniques can be performed without the need for general anesthesia.
What are Typical Brow Lift Results?
Here at Réviance®, we strive to provide the most natural results so our patients are never left with that “surprised” or “startled” look. You can see the results for yourself by browsing some of our former patients’ brow lift before and after pictures. For optimal results, brow lift surgery is often combined with another procedure, such as a blepharoplasty, to enhance the look of the entire eyelid/brow complex. Your surgeon will discuss all of these options with you during your consultation.
What Type of Post-Operative Brow Lift Care Can I Expect?
Following your brow lift procedure, you can expect to be back at work in approximately one week or less. And depending on the brow lift method you choose, you may even be able to expect an even quicker recovery period.
Of course you may experience some swelling and bruising during this time, which can be reduced by keeping your head elevated and using cold compresses. Refrain from any strenuous activity for the first several weeks.
What are Brow Lift Costs?
Brow lift prices will depend on the method of surgery you choose, and all of this will be discussed during your one-on-one consultation with your doctor. Please give us a call today and our patient care coordinators would be happy to give you more information or set up your consultation for you.
