What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that targets the loose skin and excess fatty tissue of the thigh area. If you are experiencing this “saggy” skin due to age, weight loss or any other factor, a thigh lift is an effective procedure that will give you a tighter, rejuvenated appearance.
To see how this surgery can truly improve the contours of your thighs, take a look at some thigh lift before and after pictures. And if you have any specific questions, including thigh lift prices, our friendly staff would be happy to help you.
How is a Thigh Lift Performed?
Your thigh lift surgeon will begin by making small and well-hidden incisions in the groin crease or the inner thigh area, depending upon how much excess skin needs to be removed. For the best results, many patients opt to have their thigh lift in conjunction with liposuction and tummy tucks. Depending on your target area, your surgeon will make an incision in the appropriate area and then lift and/or excise any excess skin.
How Do I Know if a Thigh Lift is Right for Me?
A thigh lift is very effective in restoring a tighter and more youthful contour to your upper thigh. So if you are experiencing sagging skin or excess fatty tissue due to extreme weight loss or aging, you may benefit from this surgery. No matter what, it’s important to understand that thigh lifts are not a substitute for weight loss. The best resource that we can provide to aid you in your decision is a gallery of thigh lift before and after pictures.
What Type of Post-Operative Thigh Lift Care Can I Expect?
Following your thigh lift procedure, you may experience some discomfort and tightness in your legs for a couple of days. Other side effects include bruising, soreness and swelling. Your surgeon will insert drainage tubes to remove excess fluid, which will be removed once the fluid is gone. You’ll also be given a compression garment that you should wear to reduce swelling. Most of our patients are back to work within two weeks. And while you should avoid any strenuous activity for at least a month, we encourage our patients to move around as much as possible to prevent blood clots.
What are Thigh Lift Costs?
Thigh lift costs will depend on the goals and needs of the patient. But if you give us a call, we’d be happy to give you an estimate. For a more accurate number, we suggest setting up a one-on-one consultation with one of our surgeons, who will go over your specific goals in more detail and come up with a treatment plan that works for you.
