Beautiful faces — regardless of age, race, and color — have one thing in common: a harmonious balance. Chin augmentation can restore a subtle, pleasing balance to the lower facial and neck regions especially in those patients who have ‘weak’ chins.

Excessively prominent ears can be a troublesome concern for many patients, particularly those who are children who may become the subject of social ridicule at school.

Otoplasty is an ear reshaping procedure which is an enormously satisfying procedure for both the patient and surgeon alike. For many patients, the procedure not only improves the position of the ears but also restores a sense of self-confidence that previously may have been lacking. In many instances, one can significantly rejuvenate one’s appearance with an eyelid lift alone. • In this first patient, attention was given to smoothening the bump on the dorsum (or bridge) of the nose and giving a little more support to the tip to keep it from falling downward. The patient desired a refined profile appearance without the ‘scooped out’ appearance that tends to make noses look unnatural. This achieved the balance necessary to bring the nose into harmony with the patient’s overall facial structure.
• The male nose can often have more severe imbalance. In this case, a significant dorsal hump had developed and the tip had drifted down enough to create a ‘hooked’ appearance. In addressing these elements and giving proper support back to the nasal structure, a natural and still strong male nose can be achieved but with a more attractive and balanced look.

• Sometimes the nose can look to have ‘overgrown’ the face. When the nasal bones overgrow, the nose appears to sit too far away from the face or ‘project’ too far forward, making it look too big for the face. In these cases, the surgery helps to bring the nose further back, reduce the ‘projection’, and help the tip sit in a more natural position in relation to the face.
